Blogging Work From Home

Blogging work from home – Why so attractive? Because once your blog takes off and you start making decent money blogging, it might be time to think about giving up your day job and becoming a full time blogger.

Since you have proven this activity to work for you, it’s your best side hustle at this point. So it makes sense to turn it into your full time income.

Think about it – no more will you have to face that drive to and from work, plus you’ll get the added benefit of financial freedom and a passive way to make a living.

However, there are drawbacks to becoming a full time blogger. It is not a very healthy way to make a living. As a full time blogger you will spend most of your work day sitting at your desk, staring at the computer screen. To alleviate some of the negative health effects of sitting all day, read on for some tips on how to stay healthy as a blogger.

Stretching and Exercising

Sitting all day is not good for any human. While your mind and fingers may be going full tilt, your heart is completely at rest. Staying in one position for long periods of time hurts your quadriceps, your hamstrings and mostly your back. Hunching over to type or do other things online can hurt your mobility if you are not watchful of what you are doing.

Daily exercise and stretching is recommended for anyone who sits for hours at a time. Find the time to get some stretching and exercise done soon after you wake up each day. This will not only further wake you, it will also leave you feeling refreshed and focused for the rest of your day.

During your work day get up and walk around at least once an hour. Give yourself ten minutes to move around and go outside and get some sunshine and fresh air.

Your Home Office

Most bloggers set up a space in their bedrooms to find the privacy they need to blog or vlog. The only problem with this is that it leads to poor sleep habits and cabin fever after a while.

Think about starting your day with a workout at a nearby gym. This way you are motivated to get up, get dressed and be somewhat social, while getting away from your work environment.

One of the nicest things about blogging is that you can really work on your blog anywhere you can take your phone or laptop: sit in the park, enjoy the heat or coolness of your local library or sit and have coffee at your favorite coffee shop. Of course, you can stay at home, but getting out once in a while will help your mental and physical health.

Avoid Stress

Working at home can be stressful if you don’t make a serious separation between when you work and when you rest. As a blogger, you can’t shut off your mind from thinking about further projects.

However, you can shut off your phone or computer and spend time with the people in your life. It takes a lot of discipline to balance work and rest, but your overall health will benefit immensely in the long run.

Blogging Work From Home

If you have ever contemplated becoming your own boss, and becoming location independent, this might be your answer. It might be for you as it has been for many people: your ticket to freedom and independence.
