Through marketing you will promote your content, spread if far and wide, and make good use of calls to action.
You should be publishing your blogs according to your schedule. Publishing also depends a lot on the contents of your information product.
If you have chosen to do a 30 day challenge then you should be publishing every day. Realistically, you will need to aim for 32 days as you want to write an introduction page and then a final recap.
If you have chosen to post less often, then aim for a few days a week, making sure to publish at least once a week.
You can even go live to keep things interesting. One important thing to remember is that you need to promote your live blog posts in order to increase viewers and sales.
Automation can be an effective part of your blog posts. Hootsuite.com is a great place to find plugins and media sharing software. Don’t over use automation. Instead, write more about what makes your information product unique.
Use automation, add images, edit where needed and create a call to action button that directs people to the blog post you are promoting.
Social Media
Where is your audience? Learning where they are is important, because that is where you should be. The social media network is immense and there is no way, or need, for you to be everywhere at once. Only join those platforms where your audience is. Share every new blog post on every network you frequent.
One key part of successful promoting on social media is to spend more time on your networks between promotions. Talk to people, comment on posts, engage with your audience and let them get to know you a bit better. Once you finally hit them with your sales promotion, they will be more likely to click on your links and possibly share with their friends.
Cross Links
Since it is possible to create links to any page or post, you are going to want to add cross links for easier reference. Once your series is complete, you might want to add a link to the entire series. Adding product links under your posts as well as under other posts your visitors may read is a great way to target them into checking out your product.
Making these links stand out is the best way to catch a viewer’s eye. You can use images and link directly to your information product. Or, create a call out box that no one could miss. Anything that makes people click on it.
Groups
Whether they are your own groups or those that were created by other people, adding links on your new blog posts is a fantastic way to send new people to your product. Just make sure you have read the terms of service for each group, and learn which ones allow you to post links.
Guest Posts
As you start wrapping up your blog posts, schedule and the information product itself, reach out to like-minded people on social media sites and ask them if they would be willing to write a guest post in exchange for you creating a link that goes to your information product or to a blog within your series.
Do Interviews
You would be surprised at how many people within your niche are making podcasts and/or webinar style interviews to increase the flow of traffic to their blogs. You might not know of any podcast that allow fellow entrepreneurs to join them, but those in your groups might. Ask around, and then ask these shows if they would like to interview you. Some shows have a hard time finding people to interview. Don’t hesitate asking, the worse they can say is no, but most will probably readily agree.
Go Live
Make good use of live events. As a guest speaker you have the means and the voice to directly market your product to your audience. As you gain confidence in doing live interviews you will increase your own followers, who will then – hopefully – tell others about your products and make purchases of their own. While most speaking gigs offer no monetary compensation, some shows do pay you.
Use Your Email List
Your email list is a great asset. Start by writing an email for every blog post within your series. Write a small blurb explaining what the topic is about, what you hope they will learn. Include a link to your blog post and don’t forget to include a CTA button which links directly to your information product. Lastly, send this email to everyone on your email list.
Use Affiliates
Affiliate programs offer you the ability to promote your information product using other people to do the work. Affiliates are always looking for marketing opportunities. To ensure greater success, be the one to create what they are looking for.
Amember, Clickbank.com, e-Junkie.com and JVZOO.com are just a few software downloads you can use to help run your affiliate program. You can easily manage your affiliates through your Facebook Group page; gently remind them of what in is their dashboard with step-by-step instructions on marketing your product. If you offer affiliates a 50/50 split for each sale they will be more than happy to help you.
Paying for Ads
Making use of paid ads on Facebook and other social media platforms is a great way to build your email lists. Offer a snippet from your information product for free just to get more people on your email list. For greater effect, create video ads to sell your products.
Facebook Live
After your information packet has gone live you should probably do a Facebook Live event to showcase your product. Let your audience ask questions, then discuss ways your product can help them. Ask your friends, family and affiliates to promote this live event.
Once everything is set and done, be sure to edit your post with added links and an intro to the recording of the live event.
You have just learned of a myriad ways to market your information products. Setting things up correctly from the onset is what makes everything work together perfectly. When you reach the promotion phase, your information product is ready to launch. Now, you just reuse and repeat this process each time you create a new product.
