How To Start a Vblog

July 2, 2020 | By juansbet | Filed in: Blogging For Beginners.

Now that you have an established blog it is time to add content that will increase your views tremendously. This will also give you more authority and strength in your relationships with your followers.

What is it?

Videos!

That’s right, videos are an instant draw. Videos engage your audience, with most wanting to watch til the end. If you really want to build your brand, videos are the best way to show your followers just who you are.

People will learn about you, they will get to like you, and they will learn to trust you.

Create Your Vlog

A ‘vlog’ is a video blog. You can go to YouTube and start your own channel to vlog. Here you can create your videos to match the content of your blog.

You can use any camera to make your videos. Phone cameras work well if they can record in 1080p. Choose your topic, which can be something that builds upon what you have already said previously in your blog, or you could even read your blog page.

You can upload your video unedited, or you could use software like the free Movie Maker or Adobe Illustrator. Editing makes your videos look more professional and easier to watch.

Finally, upload your video to your YouTube channel and start spreading the news on all your social media sites about your new creation. You can also place the video directly on your blog page. A vlog within a blog is almost always an asset to you.

How To Create The Best Videos

If you fear speaking in front of the camera, try making videos using PowerPoint. Or use animated software to make your point.

If you do plan on filming yourself, spend time watching what popular YouTubers in your own niche do.

These tips will help you create successful videos:

* Always consider where your lighting is coming from. The most ideal placement is to have the light coming from either side.

* Audio is your next consideration; use a mic if you want the best sound quality.

* Dress nice, but don’t overdo it.

* If you are reading, be sure to pause at the end of each sentence. Talk naturally; this is not only more natural for you, but it makes you appear friendly.

* Build a nice background. Choose a nice corner that you can use to film. Make it look professional with books, plants, and pictures. Add a picture of your own logo to always keep that in your viewers sight.

As to the content of your videos, whenever possible use storytelling to draw and hold your viewers attention. Stories are universally known to keep people engaged in what you have to say. Remember, the Bible is full of stories, and for good reason. So make your stories compelling.

Be sure to post your videos regularly, to keep your viewers interested and coming back for more. Upload your videos as articles on your blog. Soon you will notice an increase in traffic on your blog site. All because you decided to create a vlog!
