Increasing Your Income by Overemployment – Part 2.
Create Your Own Products and Scale Your Earnings Empire
This is my personal favorite option because it offers you several outstanding benefits.
First on the list of benefits is the potential for high profit. Each digital product you create is a separate income stream, thus it’s ideal for the overemployment crowd.
There are also ways that you can become a producer online and start earning money from that. This is something that you can scale to a very large income level, as long as you are consistent in putting out products that your audience desires.
Some of them will be digital, and others can be tangible.
For example, if you know a lot about a topic or you want to write a beginner’s guide for something, you can create an info product such as an eBook.
It can be anything from a topic like gardening to cooking, relationships or pets. Anything that people are searching for, where they are willing to pay some money to learn a skill or elevate their own insight, you can turn into an info product.
Your product doesn’t have to be text, either. You can create an info product that is developed using video if you prefer that media format. And why not use tools like Camtasia to help you edit it to perfection so that it looks professional.
Even better, you can sell these info products from your own site, or you can write nonfiction books that you sell through platforms like Amazon. There, you’ll be able to have both a digital Kindle version as well as a print version that they print and ship on your behalf.
Is Fiction an Option For You?
You can even write fiction if you prefer to go that route. You’re not stuck with nonfiction topics. There are many self published fiction authors who get their start on Amazon and other third party platforms that don’t require you to have an agent or publishing company.
You can also produce other products that you sell online. These can include everything from T-shirts to tumblers. If you go on TikTok, you’ll see a wide variety of products people are selling – including these items as well as home décor, candy, candles, jewelry and more.
Get Paid for Being a Go-Between Source and Supplier
In the corporate world, you may have already considered yourself the middleman in many scenarios between the company you worked for and the clients they were catering to.
But now, you can be the go between source and supplier without having to be stifled by whatever a company is willing to pay for that position. And you don’t have to stock any physical inventory when you choose this option.
This is important for people who may not have the space or who don’t want to handle any of the processing and shipping aspects of selling. There are a couple of ways you can do this.
Your Income From Dropshipping
The first is by adopting an income stream known as dropshipping. As a dropshipper, you will be selecting a niche that you want to work in and building a website that promotes products.
Whenever someone clicks on the product and purchases it from you, they will pay you, but you won’t be the one handling the shipment. Instead, you will turn around and send a portion of that payment to a company that will prepare and ship the product out to your customer directly.
Therefore, you are slightly increasing the price of the product so that you can keep a portion of the profits. Your job as a dropshipper will be to find products that will be in demand and create listings so that you can drive traffic to them and earn money.
It’s similar to affiliate marketing in a way. But with affiliate marketing, you are sending customers to another site so that they can convert into a buyer, and your earnings are limited by what the company is willing to pay in terms of a commission.
When you are a dropshipper, you get to decide what the markup will be on the product and how much you will be earning with each sale. FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) Is another option that you may want to pursue.
You still don’t have to stock any products in your home. These will go directly to the Amazon warehouse so that they can process and ship the products directly out to the customer from their fulfillment centers.
Your focus will be on sourcing the products and creating listings on Amazon that will have high conversions. You don’t have to build your own website, but instead simply send traffic directly to your Amazon listings so the customer can convert into a sale.
Putting It All Together
As someone who is looking for overemployment as a way to achieve financial freedom, you don’t have to sneak around with employers or work more hours. You can implement a work at home business where you are your own boss, setting your flexible hours without any ceiling of income holding you back.
Keep in mind that you also have the possibility to continue working for another company as an employee either online or offline and still implement this solo entrepreneurial option on the side.
That way, you’ll have the stability of a paycheck from a company with the freedom that this career provides you. Then, when you’re ready, you can drop the employment and pursue this full time.
You can now be your own boss. No more working for someone else. You determine you pay level and what hours you want to work.
You can simply select from the multiple streams of income above and set yourself on the path to success in your own way.
One Business Model at a Time
Start with one of the business models and get it operational before you add on another income stream. You don’t want to spread yourself so thin that you’re not able to see earnings coming in.
Whenever you start with an online income stream, you want to select something that makes the most sense in terms of your skills, time, and the money you want to earn. For example, you may earn more creating your own info product and recruiting affiliates to promote for you than you would taking on a ghostwriting gig that has no residual profits attached to it.
When it’s time to add another income stream on, try to choose the most likely pairing. For example, if you started out as an affiliate marketer, add info product development or dropshipping on as the next likely source of earnings.
That way, you won’t have to find an entirely new audience, but you can simply have something else that you are directing your traffic to in an effort to expand your income. You’ll want to have a strategy in place for maximizing your earnings and scaling up.
This can include everything from elevating your price points to finding different ways to get traffic to your offers. When you start earning enough to pay your bills and you have leftover money, look to see how you can delegate some of your tasks and expand your business in that way.
Not only can you outsource some of your tasks, but you can learn how to automate your system as much as possible so that you free up your time to either enjoy life or focus on more money making efforts.
Essential Skills
There are some skills you’ll want to master regardless of which business models you choose. For example, knowing how to optimize your site for search engines is going to be important for free, organic traffic.
Knowing how various social media platforms work and how to analyze the data they provide to you so that you can create content that your followers crave is something everyone should learn.
You also need to know how to manage your budget and spending. ThYou are going to come across many tools, courses, and products that promise to fast track your success and you have to know when to hold back versus when to invest in your business wisely.
And lastly, as an online entrepreneur, your schedule will be wide open. You can work when ever it suits you best. And no one but you determines how many hours you work.
You have to learn how to manage your time, which includes both steering clear of distractions that can make you unproductive as well as overworking yourself to the point of exhaustion because you have a high drive to succeed.
